This is a very fine quote from the Roman love-poet Ovid. I saw somewhere a pic of a guy who had a quote from another poet but he had mis-spelt the word for love ‘amor’ as ‘umor’ (which means ‘moisture’): his bicep claimed that ‘moisture conquers all’! The Latin translator Classical Turns have some other examples of Latin tattoos that have failed if you go to their tattoos page. I prefer to keep it simple: ‘nosce te ipsum’, ‘know yourself’. -Andy M-
