Religious Tattoos
Even before the organized religion became a widespread phenomenon, indigenous people were tattooing themselves for spiritual reasons. These tattoos aren’t mere pieces of decoration but they often carry a deeper meaning. Although, both Christianity and Koran forbid tattoos; it is the Christians and the Moslems, who tattoo themselves more than any other religion in the world.
