Peace Sign Tattoos

The concept of peace sign originated during 1960s that too in reference to the establishment of peace in Vietnam. Now with number of tattoo enthusiastic getting increased, people are even using the peace symbols as tattoo designs. The peace sign tattoos in the modern time depict much more than just the establishment of peace in the world. The origin of the peace sign was first used by an artist Gerald Holtom in 1958 and he used the naval semaphores as the foundation of the peace symbol. It was first used in the campaigning for nuclear disarmament. There are number of things which a peace tattoo can depict. These are harmony, tranquility, freedom, non-violence, hope, victory, respect, justice and goodwill. With modernization, the countries have started showing their power and all these activities are causing damage to the establishment of peace across the world. The peace sign tattoos depicts that the wearer is a peace-loving person and support each and every activity related to the establishment of peace. Peace signs could be used anywhere on the body and some of the common places where these are inscribed are the feet, arms, shoulders and hip.
