Egyptian Tattoos
Tattoos with Egyptian symbols, especially their writing system, are widely believed to contain hidden wisdom. The ancient Egyptians themselves called their writing ‘God’s Words’. One reason why Egyptians tattoos are highly regarded is because they are so mysterious. It wasn’t until the 19th century when a Frenchman, Jean-François Champollion deciphered their writing system, but still Egyptian symbols (tattoos included) are thought of as something carrying magical powers.
