Demons were first mentioned in the works of a Greek philosopher Plato around 2,400 years ago. They were simply another supernatural beings to the Greeks. Later, when the Christianity spread throughout Europe, negativity became associated with the word. Therefore demon tattoos have many negative connotations associated with them. There are other popular interpretations too.
